The Town of York Historical Society, York/Leicester Cub Scouts and York Memorial Post VFW spent Saturday morning May 14, 2005 working on the Oak View Cemetery in South Greigsvlle.  About 15 people from these groups removed a broken fence in from of the cemetery and also raked twigs and leafs trimmed around some of the stones and also removed some out of control berry bushes.  The group is planning on installing the salvaged front gates along with a new sign to mark the cemetery.  The crew consisted of the following people:  Justin Zaso, Renee Hatfield, Mike Gates, Scott Canaan, Jason Canaan, Jeannine Canaan, Sandra Streb, Jacob Streb, Steve Gates, Barb Price, Carman Gallo, Dave Nagel, Mark Occhioni, Tom Teede and Vince Burroughs.
